Balneario de Archena

The Balneario is located in the Ricote Valley within uniquely relaxing surroundings. It is a spa complex measuring over 200,000 square metres and offering the most exclusive relaxation and health care techniques imaginable, under the supervision of a medical team at all times. This spa complex is situated in the beautiful valley surrounding the historic village of Archena, and the whole valley is tropical, green and lush. For more than 2000 years, Spanish and European people have visited this valley and more recently the spa complex to enjoy the healing and relaxing hot springs which naturally occur. It is an excellent place to take the family for a day, or longer, and enjoy the natural outdoor and indoor pools very cheaply. There are three hotel complexes offering massages, and all the normal beauty and health treatments associated with such spas. There are also restaurants and craft shops here, and the spa is open seven days a week. To reach Archena, take the motorway A30 through Murcia and follow the signs for Albacete. Leave the motorway at Junction 121 and Archena village is about 6 kilometres further on.

Have you felt the benefits of thalassotherapy?

Mar Menor

Enjoy a healthy soak at any of Murcia's thalassotherapy centres. The climate and waters in this area are highly recommended for injury related, rheumatic, dermatological and respiratory complaints. Healing properties aside, don't miss out on the enjoyable sense of relaxation and physical well-being that thalassotherapy brings. Murcia is, of course, also home to the Mar Menor, a saltwater lagoon whose waters are internationally renowned for their properties.
